What do you mean by improvements? As far as I see, each chapter has improved apon the last.

As mentioned above my other posters, IE. Controllable henchmen, Heroes, templates, etc. are all improvments.

Yes, they did not get implement everything that the majority of the community wanted but they did implement a fair share of improvements to the game.

I think people tend to take advantage of what has already been implemented and are already forgetting that there were improvements (some pretty major ones) that were already put into the latest chapter of the game.

To say Nightfall didn't receive many improvents is a false statement in my opinion and whining/trashing the company while forgetting what was implemented is pretty lame.

I for one appreiciate all the improvements A.net have already put into this game and I'm sure more will come. Cheers!

To be fair, there were several huge improvements that got released in Nightfall and some updates can be more difficult to implement than others and may take longer ie reconnects.

But we cannot choose to ignore the fact that other simpler things the community have asked (eg more storage) keeps getting ignored which makes some players feel that we are being milked for more of the same as each chapter is shipped 6 monthly, despite Nightfall being a great game, storywise and the new mechanics/improvements.

Even so i understand its impossible to satisfy every player's request but telling them to shut up and die wont change their minds about these issues either.

This is a problem of idealology, once someone has made up their minds about an issue its very difficult to change it. To try to fight this is the equal of the war on terror in our time. Just let things take its course and time will tell what is ahead of us in the next chapter and we can decide then again with our dollars.

Yes this game needs improvements but not all the sugars from the other MMOs. Dont get me wrong i really, no i mean it reaaaaly needs some end game content because now when u finish the game and if ur not pvp-er than u dont have anything to do. Yes you can go for titles if u want but to me is waste of time since there is no benefit to having them, so gaining the title is just another repetitive pveing.

OK Gladiator is interesting to PvPers to get more respect from others ( or just their ego get pumped so they feel more special and leet - not all of pvpers r like that i am just saying that some of them has superiority complex.. :S )
Farming after u complete the game? Nah you get bored and there are not many things i want to spend my money on in the game ( skins alone is not realy motivating... ).


But it realy seems that anet wants u to buy the game ( doh! ) and than play it for a while and quit until next chapter, why would they bother with endgame content and economy ( like auction houses which i dont think we will ever see.. they will rather make all the items easy available to all so no one will trade any more ).

And next chapter will be like what? Same old with little cosmetic improvments and big advertising, saying we made huge improvements to PvE u will love it ( and than few teenagers say wiiiii, how cool is that, i love u anet and gaile :S and anet takes that as huge succes)

But they never made real improvements to the game ( ok heroes but that can be debatable ).

I like lvl 20 limit, but than again i hate those lightbringer and sunspear grinding ( again not realy big effect on gameplay ). WoW and other MMOs have lots of grinding but at least there u get some kind of reward.. GW, who was oposing grinding/farming so much at the beggining, introduced us to even more ridiculous grinding i have ever seen ( sunspear/lightbringers?).

Quests rewards: XP few gold and few sunspear/lgtbringer points.. I cant w8 to get even more quests and finish em.. its so much fun to get those never needed xp!

I am sorry if i am ranting and flaming and whining and.....

There is so much potential in this game which would be a shame to waste, with a playerbase so big ( not as big as it was anyway ) and leting ppl getting bored and quiting if they dont want to pvp.

I just wish Anet would let us know about thir plans for the future so there wouldnt be so many whining/ranting topics around on the forums. Unfortuantly i just must afree with Thallandor on this.

I understand new players find lots of joy and fun in GW but many old players like me just find it old and stale, repeating gameplay. What can be done about this, considering we know the opinion of anet about it?

Its relevent to the OP, whos basicly complaining things dont get changed because people say "go play wow", whereas this is but one of a number of changes that was changed because of community requests, Thats why i mention that old chestnut.

More people complained about running than the locked gates, I think that sucks, but its not Anets fault alot of the people playing this game are far to opinionated

Id like running to be an option only to 2nd and on charachters, i was sick of explaining to stupid people why there lost because they got run, Anet completly stopping running was a lazy fix imo.
